Closing Event GM 2.0

On 29 and 30 November 2010, gender and non-gender experts from NGOs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as consultants and academic researchers, are to be invited to attend the closing event entitled ‘GM 2.0’. The lessons from the four sub-processes will be brought together, with additional inputs from keynote speakers.

The key questions for the GM 2.0 event are:

Ø      What gender mainstreaming strategies have proven successful and can take gender mainstreaming to the next level?

Ø      What are the key areas of attention which will make gender mainstreaming a success in the coming years?

Papers from each of the four sub-processes will provide input for reflections during the final event. In addition, keynote speakers are to be invited to reflect on these papers and experiences. In the participatory meeting, all members of the audience are invited to take part in the reflection exercise and contribute to a revitalized gender mainstreaming strategy.

The outcomes of the GM 2.0 event will be documented in a report and will also be made available in a Policy Brief.
